Overview
When a young news reporter uncovers Jim Grant's true identity as a former member of the Weather Underground group, the life he has carefully crafted in Albany, New York as an attorney and father is upended. Jim manages to evade reporter Ben Shepherd's probing questions following the arrest of a former female Weather Underground staffer, and takes his young daughter Emily on a road trip, heading north toward the Canadian border. Upon further investigation, Shepherd discovers that Grant is actually Nick Sloan, breaking a major news story that sets the FBI on Grant's trail. While on the run, Jim/Nick meets up with a former flame with whom he had a child, and baits the FBI so that his old girlfriend can escape.
