Overview
In a futuristic setting, a rapidly spreading plague has transformed the majority of humans into vampires, with only 5% of the population remaining human. These statistics present a challenge to the vampires' food supply - human blood - and rationing is put into effect. A vampire doctor, Edward Dalton, is sympathetic to humans and wants to relieve them of the burdens and worries of being sought after for their blood. He works to create a synthetic blood supply to satisfy the needs of the vampires and to protect the humans, but his feelings become confused when he meets a vampire who has found a way to tranform himself back into human form. Edward finds himself considering his options regarding a cure for the vampire plague.
