Sam Phelan and his wife, Leslie, are in dire financial straits. They owe an oppressive amount of debt, and their house is in foreclosure. Sam is driving his dilapidated Buick under an overpass when a case filled with $600,000 drops out of the sky onto the hood. Reese Kubic, a criminal, has stolen the money and is running from the police. He threw the case away to get rid of the evidence. Sam and Leslie decide to keep the money and pay debts. Reese’s brother, Pyke, sets out to find the Phelans and get the money back. Pyke pressures the Phelans to rob stores to replace the money they have already spent, but this plan goes awry, and Leslie and Pike exchange gunfire in a struggle. |
