Overview
Rebecca Bloomwood is a shopping-obsessed beauty who unexpectedly and accidentally lands a job working as a fashion writer for Luke Brandon, a man who she initially thought was a jerk. She soon discovers otherwise as she becomes the column writer "The Woman in the Green Scarf", and the two develop a friendship. But Rebecca has a secret shopping obsession that has put her into massive debt, and she hides the fact that she is being tailed by creepy debt collector Derek Smeath. She attends Shoppers Anonymous but can't seem to kick the habit. Eventually this addiction starts hurting those around her, including Luke, and Rebecca knows she has to change. With the support from her group, she auctions off her massive wardrobe of clothes and uses that money to pay her debt. Luke sees her heart and the two kiss and make up.
