Raised in a dysfunctional environment, Luli is a teenage girl from a small town in Nebraska. Shortly after her thirteenth birthday party, that was held at a local bar, and seeing an ad for Las Vegas, Luli contemplates running away. After making a pros and cons list, she packs some clothes, a map, and a .45 revolver she received as a birthday gift and heads out of town. Along the way, Luli is picked up by Eddie, who agrees to drive her to Vegas until he makes a rude remark and she fights back. After sleeping in a ditch, Luli is discovered by Glenda. As Glenda befriends Luli, Luli discovers that Glenda and Eddie have a past. Eventually, Eddie is asked to take care of Luli, which leads to a road of trouble and makes Luli question whether she made the right decision to run away. |
