Overview
Ryan Newman is depressed. He's lost his job and was dumped by his girlfriend. About to commit suicide, he creates a cocktail of drugs that will end his life. Instead of ending his life, even that plan fails for Ryan. He receives a knock on the door instead. His neighbor, Jenna, asks if Ryan can look after her dog Wilfred. Everyone else sees Wilfred as a furry little canine. Ryan sees Wilfred as a man in a dog suit. Ryan searches for happiness by listening to Wilfred who helps him achieve whatever his goals are. Wilfred is not a lovable, furry little companion in Ryan's eyes. Wilfred is a beer-drinking troublemaker. Together, the two of them are involved in a break in at another neighbor's house. Along the way, Wilfred teaches Ryan to stand up for himself.
