Overview
Tom and Violet have been planning to get married for years, but something always interferes. Unplanned pregnancies and academic opportunities delay their ceremony time after time. Tom gives up his cushy job as a sous chef to move to Michigan with Violet when she is accepted into a postdoctoral program. The opportunity proves to be disastrous when Violet and her professor develop feelings for each other. Stuck in a dead-end job, Tom begins to wonder if his relationship with Violet is doomed.
