Overview
Social outcast Andrew Detmer has few friends and lives with his alcoholic father and terminally ill mother. Andrew is then invited to a party by his cousin Matt, where they meet a acquaintance from school, Steve. At the party, the boys hear a noise and find a hole out in a field. Exploring the hole, all three achieve telekinetic powers. As Andrew's powers become stronger, Matt tries to keep his cousin control of his emotions. When Andrew's mother needs a machine to survive and his family cannot afford it, Andrew loses control of his emotions and his powers and becomes a danger to those around him.
