In October of 2001, Michael Perry was convicted of the murder of nurse Sandra Stotler during a carjacking. His sentence was death. Eight days before his execution in 2010, Perry is interviewed about the crime and his death sentence. Other interviews are conducted with the victim's family, as well as police officers and detectives involved in the case. Also interviewed is Jason Burkett, Perry's accomplice in the Stotler murder and allegedly involved in the murders of two others in Texas. Burkett's wife, who married him while he was still in prison, also gives testimony about the murders and her husband's lifetime sentence to prison.
