Ken Kesey was a 1960's icon who put together a group called the Merry Pranksters. The entire purpose of this group was to get the most out of the hippie generation and the eventual "summer of love" that everyone would experience. Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters decide to climb into an old school bus and see what kinds of adventures they can find. Along the way, they meet such characters as Timothy Leary, Jerry Garcia, the rest of the Grateful Dead, and Allen Ginsberg. The group winds up encapsulating many of the most important aspects of the hippie generation and putting together a documentary that will tell the story of the 1960's for many years to come.
