Paul Weston is a psychotherapist, helping the young and old to understand their cravings, dislikes and traumas. As the consummate professional, Weston's calm persona comforts patients as they walk in the door. Working out of his home, Weston finds his life unraveling as he struggles to fix his patients' lives. His marriage is in shambles, as he finds himself drawn to one of his patients. As he visits with each patient, he begins to see relationships forming between the separate individuals. To deal with his mental instabilities, Weston visits his own therapist each week. Instead of talking about himself, however, he talks of his patients. Although his therapist tries to angle the conversation to Paul's life exclusively, the therapy sessions take on a life of their own as Weston fights for his own sanity amongst his patients.
