Overview
Parks and Recreation follows the perpetually energetic and relentlessly optimistic Leslie Knope in her quest to better a depressed Indiana town through the burgeoning bureaucracy of city government. Joined by a mustachioed boss, a narcissistic would-be mogul, a definitively deadpan intern, an OCD health-nut city manager, and a cast of other relatable caricatures, Leslie navigates the trials and tribulations of directing a struggling Midwestern Parks Department, balancing relationships and work life, removing raccoons from public property, ascending through political ranks, and prohibiting larger soft drink sizes from being sold in the familiar little town of Pawnee.
