Overview
Dr. Cal Lightman is founder of The Lightman Group. He uses micro-expressions and body language to determine if people are telling the truth. The Lightman Group takes work and assignments from government agencies to assist them in terrorist or criminal investigations. Lightman came by his expertise from doing years of research in the field, working with government agencies and many investigations on his own before opening the firm. The Lightman Group consists of Lightman himself plus his colleague Dr. Gillian Foster. She's often the only one who can calm Dr. Lightman's manic behavior. They met when they both worked for the CIA. Along with Foster, there are two employees named Loker and Torres. Loker and Torres are considered natural lie detectors with the capacity to read people's expressions without much formal training.
