Roger and Mickey are brothers who share a deep bond, not only because of their shared parentage but also because of their powerful love of baseball. It gives them a pastime to enjoy together even as they begin to develop other diverging interests. One day, as they are beginning to border on adulthood, these young men decide to undertake a remarkable journey. Their hero, Roberto Clemente, is on the verge of hitting his 3000th home run. They have no doubt that he will achieve this milestone, and they want to be there to see it. Actually getting to the game, however, will prove difficult. They journey will be fraught with challenges, but these obstacles will actually bring them closer together when all's said and done. |
