Overview
The film consists of three short films. In Adelina of Naples, a woman supports her husband and child. She forgets to pay a fine and may be placed in jail. Since it is illegal to be placed in jail while pregnant or shortly after a pregnancy, the woman schemes to stay pregnant forever. In Anna of Milan, a wealthy woman has an affair, but she is unable to decide if she wishes to give up her husbands's Rolls-Royce to continue the relationship. Meanwhile, after the woman runs over a child and shows no remorse, the lover wonders if he wishes to remain. In Mara of Rome, a prostitute is horrified to learn a callow man is willing to give up his study of the priesthood to be with her.
