Overview
Leo Handler wants to make a better life for himself and his ailing mother. Recently paroled, Leo turns to his girlfriend's father for a job at his railway car company. When her father suggests to Leo that he spend his time getting an education, Leo is forced to go back to a criminal life with his shady friend, Willie. Willie's business is using bribery and sabotage to influence contract work. When Leo accompanies him on a botched sabotage attempt, he witnesses a murder and finds himself in danger of going back to prison.
