Overview
Mata Nui is a mysterious island where machines are alive. Right now, its inhabitants are threatened by the Makuta, extremely evil forces out to destroy everyone and everything in their path. The future looks almost hopeless, but they are not willing to give in to despair just yet. Instead, they are counting on the help of two very special young people to deliver them from evil. Two unassuming Matoran villagers who are just young children are selected to make the journey to find the Mask of Light. This legendary object is said to be able to reveal who the savior of the land is and how to find this person. As they seek the mask out, they call upon ancient benevolent forces for their protection.
