Philip's life isn't going very well. The suicide hotline he runs is being evicted, his girlfriend refuses to help him get a loan and then breaks up with him, and worst of all his staff is almost crazier than the people who call them. Felix, a transvestite caller, managed to find out office's location, and shows up unexpectedly demanding to talk to his pregnant girlfriend, who promptly lobs a fruitcake at him. After a trip to the vet and an overdose on dog tranquilizers, Felix once again storms the office - this time brandishing a gun. The group scuffles and in the fray Stanley the landlord is mortally wounded. The group's attempt to hide the body goes horribly awry, but all is not lost: there may have been more to Stanley than there seemed. |
