Awaiting execution in prison, Victor Frankenstein shares his life story with a priest. Victor inherits the Frankenstein estate at a young age after his father dies. He is mentored by Paul Krempe, who eventually becomes a close partner that assists him with extreme scientific experiments. Victor and Paul manage to bring a dead dog back to life. This inspires Victor to find a way to create life using his own methods. The two men begin assembling body parts in secret to build a functioning specimen. They successfully bring the creature to life, but he proves to be a psychotic killer. The men destroy the monster and bury it. Victor revives the creature without Krempe, hoping to fix his mistakes.
