Overview
When college student Jeffrey Beaumont returns to Lumberton to visit his ailing father, he makes the bizarre discovery of a severed ear in a nearby empty field. With the help of a local police officer's daughter, Jeffrey is giving clues that draw him into the world of kinky sex, drugs and criminal activity. He encounters a local nightclub singer named Dorothy, who sings the film's title song, and has a sadomasochistic encounter with her. He ultimately discovers that Dorothy's husband and son have been kidnapped by a sociopath who is also sexually involved with her. Jeffrey soon discovers that Dorothy's dead husband is the owner of the severed ear and he eventually shoots the sociopath, allowing the singer and her son to be reunited.
