Overview
A theatrical performance depicting the adventures of legendary explorer Baron Munchausen is interrupted when a man protests the play's inaccuracies, claiming that he is, in fact, the real Baron Munchausen. As the audience sits enthralled, he relates his fabulous adventures to the crowd. Sally Salt, the daughter of an actor, in especially entranced, and she stows away in the Baron's balloon to accompany him on more amazing adventures. Along the way, they meet the rulers of the moon, various Roman gods and an incredible monster.
