Overview
Three unlikely friends meet and come together for a road trip. Jane is dealing with a break-up and was recently fired from her job as a lounge singer. Robin is dealing with the effects of HIV. Holly is pregnant and trying to escape a boyfriend who abuses her. When the boyfriend tries to attack Jane, Holly knocks him out. She doesn’t realize until later that she accidentally killed him. Holly eventually falls in love with a policeman and decides to tell him the truth. Jane and Robin stand by her as she faces the repercussions of her actions. The three friends continue to pull on each other for strength and have a festive celebration together before Robin’s death.
