Helen is an avid runner, which helps her to avoid her emotions. While sorting mail one day, she accidently finds a love letter that was abandoned in a sofa. Although it is not signed, she believes it was written to her. This opens the door to feelings for Helen, who begins a romantic relationship with a man named Johnny, who sees the letter, and thinking she wrote it about him, begins quoting it. Because of this, Helen thinks he wrote the letter to her. On the periphery is George, a platonic friend who loves Helen, and Helen's mother, who suddenly departed on a trip for mysterious reasons. Eventually, the letter's author is discovered. |
