Eddie Dodd used to get heavily invovled in civil rights cases and built a reputation for protecting those who could not protect themselves. But after years of being defeated by the justice system, Dodd decides to hang up his quest for the rights of the common man and take on the more lucrative practice of defending drug dealers. Roger Baron is a recently-graduated law student who has been studying Dodd's personal and professional crusades for years. When Baron finally finds Dodd, he is disappointed to see that his hero has been reduced to defending common criminals. With Baron pushing him, Dodd gets back into the civil liberties arena and winds up taking on the case that could make or break his career. |
