An English society enthusiast named Stephen Ward becomes enthralled with an exotic dancer named Christine Keeler. Ward asks Keeler to come live with him and help him to get more involved in the political power scene in the local area. Keeler and Ward soon start to learn about the ins and outs of society life and begin making contacts with powerful and dangerous people. After a while, Keeler decides to get involved in an affair with a powerful member of a local political party and everything soon spins out of control. Ward and Keeler find their society lives turned upside down and they also realize that they have to look over their shoulders at all times to avoid the repercussions that are sure to come. |
