Overview
Overachieving high-school student Leigh Ann has a plan to become valedictorian and get out of her hometown but her efforts are impeded by the hateful Mrs. Tingle, who consistently undermines Leigh Ann's work and gives her poor grades regardless of her actual quality. When Mrs. Tingle tries to have Leigh Ann expelled because of mischief committed by her classmate Luke, the two of them and their mutual friend Jo Lynn decide they've had enough and confront the teacher at her home in defense of Leigh Ann. Tensions escalate between the students and the mean-spirited teacher, which leads to the students deciding on alternative measures to get what they want out of her.
