Marina is a clairvoyant who lives in Okracoke, a small island off the coast of North Carolina. She believes that heavenly signs will reveal her true love, and when Leo Lemke, a New York butcher, shows up on the island, Marina thinks he is the one. They marry quickly and move into Leo’s house. Marina continues her psychic activities by working with several local eccentrics, helping them with their love lives. However, by focusing on her new friends, Marina fails to see that Leo’s attention is going to another woman, Stella. Meanwhile, one of Marina’s friends, Dr. Alex Tremor, makes matters more complicated by falling in love with her. |
