Overview
Frank Murphy works for the Los Angelas Police Department as a helicopter pilot, assisting his brothers in blue as they fight crime below. As he is haunted by memories of the Vietnam War and suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, he is a man not given to violence or love of military action. When he discovers the amazing experimental helicopter he has been assigned to fly, the Blue Thunder, is in fact a dangerous military weapon that is being used by evil government agents to eliminate their political enemies, he decides it is up to him to expose the truth and put a stop to the terrible plot.
