Claire Gregory is attending a party when she sees her friend killed during an argument with his one-time business partner, Joey Venza. At the same time, police officer Mike Keegan is celebrating with his wife, Ellie, and their son after being promoted to detective. Claire escapes Venza and runs to the police, who put her under protective custody while they search for Venza. One of the cops assigned to protect Claire is Keegan, who becomes enamored with Claire. Keegan's marriage is tested as he and Claire become closer. At the same time he must keep her safe from Venza, who will stop at nothing to silence her forever. |
