A conversation that is overheard by a woman named Silvia Broome soon becomes a dark journey into a world full of political intrigue. Working as a foreign national for the United Nations as an interpreter, Silvia is one of the few who can understand the language of Ku, which is spoken in Matobo where she is from. She accidentally overhears a cryptic statement that she believes is a threat against Zuwanie, the leader of the country of Matobo. Tobin Keller, a Secret Service agent, begins an investigation into her claim and soon suspects that there is a great deal more to her story than she has been letting on. Before long, he and his partner Dot Woods find themselves working to uncover a shocking realization directed at the leader of Matobo. |
