Overview
Danny Rose is a talent manager who doesn’t have a lot of talent to manage. The one decent client he has, an entertainer named Lou, hopes to impress comedian Milton Berle at an upcoming performance. Lou is distracted by his worries about his girlfriend Tina, whose former boyfriend is a member of the mob. Scared that the ex might come after him, Lou convinces Danny to pose as Tina’s boyfriend instead. Danny agrees, but then he and Tina get into real peril at the hands of the mob. They escape by framing someone else, but once Lou gets his big break, he leaves Danny for a more important manager. Danny is left to sort out all the repercussions of his choices.
