Overview
An American war drama that follows the story of mercenary, Danny Archer, and fisherman, Soloman Vandy. The term "Blood Diamond" refers to the diamonds that are mined in Sierra Leone and are used to profit warlords and fund wars. Soloman Vandy, is kidnapped and forced to work in the diamond mines. Vandy finds a priceless diamond and is imprisoned. In prison, he forms an alliance with Danny Archer in order to find the diamond and get his family back. They also come across American investigative journalist, Maddy Bowen, who helps them on their crusade.
