This comedy pairs a grizzled seen it all veteran cop with a novice partner as they stake out the home of an underworld criminal who is hiding in plain sight in a suburban neighborhood. When the cops enlist the aid of Norman Robberson and his family to use the Robberson's home as their prime stake-out location, they find that the family thinks it's entitled to help on the case. Norm is an expert on how TV police handle things, his wife Helen engages veteran cop Jake in her anti-smoking crusade, and younger cop Tony finds himself the object of affection by the couple's teenage daughter in between rebuffing their five-year old son's attempt to play a game of Vampire with him. |
