Overview
Attorney Kate McQueen is unexpectedly hit and injured by gunfire during her attempt to confiscate a freighter. She is seizing the boat to cover alimony payments. She has unwittingly attacked the headquarters of former KGB agent turned criminal, Pavel Kazak. Kazak has no intention of giving up the boat from which he operates an international money laundering scheme to support his terrorist activities. Max Kirkpatrick is the Miami detective assigned to protect Kate from Kazak. Kirkpatrick goes on the run with Kate, but she is eventually captured by the thugs and brought back to the freighter. Max must get aboard the ship and find Kate before she is killed. Kate too is faced with a decision to give in to Kazak's threats or die.
