After witnessing the gruesome death of a teenage club-goer who was torn apart by the puzzle box chains, reporter Joey Summerskill begins to unravel the mysteries surrounding the box, including the enormous pain it can unleash when opened. She also learns about Pinhead, the Black Pope of Hell, and tries to track the origins of all this evil. Her search leads her to Terri and a famous club known as the Boiler Room. There she learns the club's owner keeps Pinhead locked in a marble pillar, feeding him the blood of club patrons. Joey find herself in a race against time to bring Pinhead and his minions back to human form or face the torture of unending pain and suffering. |
