Upon her release from prison, Percy moves to a small town in Maine to get a fresh start in life. She gets a job as a waitress at the Spitfire Grill. Owner, Hannah, takes no bull from anyone, but can be nice to those she likes. When Hannah is laid up after a bad fall, it is up to Percy and Hannah's nephew, Shelby to keep the Spitfire Grill open. Hannah decides to sell the business. The new owner must win an essay contest. Meanwhile, Percy becomes attached to the people in town and has a chance for love with a young scientist named Joe. However, fate intervenes in an unexpected way. Percy does something extraordinary to save Hannah's troubled Vietnam veteran son. |
