Rolling Stone sends a reporter, Adam Lawrence, to Los Angeles to do a story about the arrest of a businessman for dealing drugs. However, once he gets there, Adam is more intrigued about how singles are using fitness clubs as the new meeting places of the ‘80s. He makes friends with Jessie Wilson, a fitness instructor at a popular gym, but she is reluctant to get involved in the story because of previous unfavorable stories about her in the press. Nevertheless, Jessie begins to trust Adam, and a romance develops between them. Adam has a moral conflict and writes a fair article about fitness gyms rather than a cheap story. Adam’s editor doesn’t like his article and has other writers make changes which embarrass Jessie. |
