Overview
Princess Aurora is the only child to the reigning King and Queen. Upon her birth, she is betrothed to Prince Phillip, the son of a neighboring realm. With the blessings of the three fairies, the newborn princess is a ray of hope and sunshine. An uninvited guest, the evil Maleficent, shows up at the newborn's party. Frustrated that she was the only person left out of the invitations, Maleficent curses the princess. Pricking her finger on a spinning wheel, the princess will die at the age of sixteen. Fearing for her life, the King and Queen hide the princess away with the fairies until she reaches sixteen. However, Maleficent is searching for the girl and will stop at nothing to see her curse to completion.
