Overview
Hildy Johnson is tired of the hectic life of a newspaper man and decides to quit his job to marry his fiancee Peggy. His editor Walter is furious and tries to come up with a scheme to keep his prize reporter in the fold. The perfect opportunity to lure Hildy back to the news desk comes when a convicted murderer escapes from jail and ends up hiding in Hildy's office. Unable to resist the story of the year, Hildy and Walter hide the fugitive until they can publish his exclusive story.
