Overview
Benji, a ragamuffin mutt who would spawn several sequels, doesn't have a home, but he is beloved by a number of people in town. He regularly makes the rounds, visiting people whose days are brightened by his presence. While he enjoys the company of all of his human friends, he takes particular joy in visiting two children who lavish him with affection. One day, those children are kidnapped, and their parents are thrown into a tizzy as the police investigate and try to return them safely. Benji is only a dog, but he believes that he may be able to succeed where the humans are failing. Perhaps if he can find the children and ensure their safety, he can find a true home with them.
