Bernie Lomax is an insurance executive diving deep into the Mob's world as he commits insurance fraud for the sake of the crime ring. His two bungling subordinates, Larry Wilson and Richard Parker, dutifully discover the fraud. Trying to show he is not part of the conspiracy, Bernie commends the two and invites them to his vacation home for the weekend. The Mob was supposed to kill Wilson and Parker for exposing the fraud, but the murder hit ends up on Bernie. Wilson and Parker find Bernie's corpse just as a party arrives at the house. Because the visitors barely notice Bernie's dead body as it is propped up in a sitting position, Wilson and Parker decide to conceal the murder by pretending Bernie is still alive. As the weekend wears on, the two must battle each other and Bernie's strange lifestyle. |
