Overview
Out-of-work soprano Victoria Grant is on her last dime when she meets Toddy, a broke actor and showbiz expert extraordinaire. Together the two hatch a scheme to pass Victoria off as a man. Confident that Paris will go crazy for a cross-dressing male singer with an amazing voice, they launch her at a local nightclub as Count Victor. Victoria and Toddy's deception is put in jeopardy when skeptical American businessman King Marchand becomes convinced that Victor is, in fact, a woman.
