Overview
It is the near future and the United Kingdom has come under rule of a fascist political party that uses imprisonment, violence and torture to quell dissidence. A masked revolutionary who calls himself V kicks off a campaign of protest by blowing up the Old Bailey. Evey Hammond, a young employee of the nationalist British Television Network, finds herself caught up in V's plot when he rescues her from an attempted rape on the street by secret police.
