Overview
Ryan Bingham is a man without attachments. His job, flying around the country and laying people off when their employers can't or fear to do it, allows him a neat, orderly and nearly anonymous existence. He has no family and wants no friends. His one concession to "personal baggage" is an occasional fling with a fellow traveler whose schedule sometimes aligns with his own. Everything changes, however, when he meets Natalie, a young new hire at his company. To his annoyance, she's assigned to accompany him on his travels, and the more they work together, the more he sees his job through her eyes, the more he begins to doubt everything about his life and philosophy. With pain, heartache and endless blue sky, Up In The Air tells one man's story of discovering his conscience, thirty thousand feet in the air.
