D'Artagnan has dreams of becoming a Musketeer, an elite force of warriors meant to protect the King of France. Riding off to the King's castle to join the ranks, D'Artagnan finds himself in trouble with three different duelers. Agreeing to duel them one right after the other, D'Artagnan discovers that these men are faithful Musketeers. Taking a liking to D'Artagnan, Porthos, Aramis and Athos admit that the Musketeers have been disbanded. At the will of the Cardinal, the King no longer has loyal protection. The three Musketeers and D'Artagnan unravel a royal plot that tests all their strengths and weaknesses, including their will to love. With swashbuckling sword action, the four friends duel with countless enemies to protect the King, but the Cardinal is the most ruthless of all villains. |
