Overview
Pete Garrison has been long-heralded as a trusted member of the Secret Service, even saving President Reagan's life during the assassination attempt on his life. He is in charge of the First Lady's protection, with whom he's having an affair. When a fellow agent is assassinated, Pete gets word that it's part of a planned attempt on the President's life. A mole discloses that someone on the inside is providing the conspirators with White House intelligence. His affair with the First Lady causes him to fail a polygraph test, which then pins him as the prime suspect. He takes off on the run from investigators, determined to clear his name and protect the President at all costs. Eventually he works with a pair of special investigators to prove his innocent and save the President's life.
