Overview
The Horse Whisperer takes place in New York State, where Grace MacLean and her horse, Pilgrim, are injured, and Montana, where both find healing from their traumas with the help of the Horse Whisperer. Annie MacLean is Grace's mother, a high-powered magazine executive who thought she had the perfect life until her only daughter was severely injured. Tom Booker is the Horse Whisperer, a Montana cowboy who lives with his younger brother on a sprawling ranch. Booker has a special connection with horses and is able to heal Pilgrim's trauma so that he can be ridden again. An attractive develops between Booker and Annie, and Annie must decide between staying on the ranch with Tom or going back home with her husband and daughter.
