High school science teacher Elliott Moore is discussing theories when he is unexpectedly summoned to a staff meeting. There, Elliott learns of an apparent terrorist attack in New York City. It is believed that an airborne toxin has been released that is causing people to inexplicably commit suicide. As panic spreads, Elliott and his wife decide to flee by train to the countryside. When the train loses radio contact before reaching its destination, the passengers are left stranded. They soon learn that the situation is not a terrorist attack, but an unexplained, natural phenomenon. Elliott and the other survivors must now create their own theories about what is happening in an attempt to protect themselves from the mysterious threat that is looming in the air. |
