27 Dresses follows the story of Jane Nichols, a loveable woman who lives the saying “Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.” After being a bridesmaid in 27 weddings, Jane wonders if she will ever get married. Jane finds herself hopelessly in love with her boss who eventually falls in love with her baby sister, Tess. Along the way, Jane meets a reporter named Kevin, whom she despises because of his skeptical views of marriage. As Jane finds herself in the sticky predicament of planning the wedding of Tess and George, she finds herself opening up to Kevin. The only problem is, Kevin is assigned to covering the story of their wedding, which in turn becomes a somewhat sarcastic article about Jane, the permanent bridesmaid. As Kevin begins to fall for Jane, he starts having bad feelings about posting the story and tries to keep it from running; he eventually fails. As Jane begins to open up to Kevin, she is forced to decide whether she can trust her heart to him, or if he is simply stringing her along for a “good story.” |
