Overview
Covert agent Al Simmons is assigned to destroy a bio-weapons facility in North Korea. But a fellow agent, Jessica Priest kills him on orders from their boss, Jason Wynn. Simmons goes to Hell, where The Devil makes him an offer. He can return to Earth if he becomes the leader of the armies of Hell. Simmons agrees. When he arrives back on Earth, five years have passed and his fiance, Wanda, is married to someone else. Wynn has become the head of an arms company which has developed a deadly new biological agent. The demon clown known as Violator tries to guide Simmons, a.k.a Spawn, down the road to evil, but he rebels and fights to prevent Armageddon.
